About Harford County 4-H Conference & Retreat Center

Located adjacent to the Rocks State Park, north of Forest Hill Maryland, on a 187-acre tree farm, the 4-H Conference and Retreat Center offers groups an overnight camping experience as well as pavilions, a pool, a lodge, a meeting room and dining hall for daily rentals.

This American Camping Association (ACA)-certified camping facility offers dormitories for up to 162 campers, numerous indoor and outdoor activity areas, sports fields, and a fully appointed commercial kitchen in our brand new climate-controlled banquet/dining facility (Deer Creek Overlook).


F.A.Q.

  1. How do I participate? Through the purchase of a ticket via our website link above or one of the many outdoor sport retail locations or private individual sellers.
  2. How much is a ticket? $20 or three for $50 to the same buyer.
  3. Are there any other prizes? Yes, there will be a series of auxiliary tables with additional prizes and chances to win through the purchase of auxiliary tickets.
  4. What time is it?The gates will open at 12:00 noon, the drawings will start promptly at 1:00pm. until 6:00pm.
  5. Is it legal? Yes, the 4H Outdoor Sportsman's Raffle will abide by all Maryland State and Federal laws.
  6. Do I need be present to win?No, your prize will be available for pick-up or delivery if you are out of state.
  7. How do I know if I win?Your ticket number will be called. The ticket numbers will be posted on our "Winners Board" and on our website, www.4HOutdoorSportsmansRaffle.com If you are not present, you will be notified by mail, email, or telephone.
  8. If I win a firearm, can I take it home that day?Yes, as long as you are eligible under the applicable laws and pass the background check. The firearm prize will be treated the same as if you made a purchase from a retail location. A participating firearms dealer (FFL dealer) will be on location to complete the transaction as long as the gun is present. In some instance a voucher will be given to the winner to acquire the firearm at a latter date when it arrives in dealer stock.
  9. If I am not present how do I get my firearm?You will be notified if you win a prize and are not on the premises to pick it up. If you win a firearm you will be instructed to go to the firearm dealer from which the firearm was purchased. If you are out of state you will have to make arrangements with your local FFL dealer to accept the firearm on your behalf and make the transfer.
  10. Will there be food?Yes, food will be available for purchase at a very reasonable price.
  11. Will there be beer?Yes, beer will be available for purchase at a very reasonable price.
  12. Can anyone get into the grounds?Yes, anyone may enter the grounds, but only those 18 years or older possessing a ticket will be eligible to enter the raffle building.
  13. Will there be outside seating available?Yes, the outdoor pavilions will be open and accessible during the day.
  14. Where do I park?Parking will be available on the 4H Camp grounds.
